Weaving mill Delabie is quite special from other manufacturers. All fabrics we manufacture are developed on-demand, following very accurately our customers requests. It is our specialty to use our knowledge and experience to deliver velvets that are sold exclusively. Inspiration for a new fabric can come from an old document, piece of cloth, a drawing or a photograph. This gives our customers the opportunity to offer fabrics in their collection that are unique in the world…

We specialize in high-end epingle and velvet upholstery fabrics with cut and/or uncut pile on a satin or taffeta ground. The possibilities of our wire looms are enormous! Each development of our velvets is based on the colors, the composition of the fibers and the binding. The choice of colors is endless so that our customers’ designers are never restricted. The fibers that can be used are viscose, cotton, linen, wool and recently also fire retardant Trevira CS yarns.  Satin, taffeta, ottoman, reps and all kinds of jacquard and plain weaves form the basis for the cut and uncut velvet, so typical for our weaving mill.

Through the years, we have earned a good reputation in the production of high quality velvets. The most well known high-end textile “éditeurs” and designers from allover the world come to our mill to develop and buy “velvet pearls”.
